This is for you, dear one.
Vats Foundation & Charitable Trust
For the well-being of human beings, animals, and ultimately all of life.
Why Vats?
Vats Foundation & Charitable Trust. I chose the name Vats because it carries three meanings.
Vats = Dear
Vats = Calf
Vats = Gotra
What is Śiva Jñāna.
It is not religious or sectarian knowledge that requires you to convert to a faith. No. It is a science. Śiva is another name for Truth. Śiva is not a god belonging to a particular sect or religion, nor is Śiva a matter of faith.
Śiva is derived from the root śi (to lie) and also from the root śvi (to cut asunder). Both meanings are implied in Śiva. Śiva is that in whom all things, both subjects and objects, lie. He is the foundation, the Truth, the Consciousness in which everything exists.
He is also the one who cuts asunder (śyati pāpam iti Śivaḥ) all that causes suffering and is undesirable to us: our depression, anxiety, mental blemishes, ignorance, and limitations.
Just as milk nourishes a calf, Śiva Jñāna nourishes the human being. With Śiva Jñāna at the heart of our work, we aim to bring about the well-being of all. We seek to do this by working upon the three pillars of well-being:
The 3 Foundations of Well-Being
When these foundations are cared for, many other forms of well-being become their natural byproduct. In practice they become:
- Centres of Education
- Hospitals
- Yogini & Bhairava Temples
The 3 in Practice
The aim is to make all of this available at little to no cost, so that lack of money does not become a barrier to knowledge, healthcare, or spiritual practice.
