Bodhapañcadaśikā: The sutras of Instant Enlightenment
For the swift and instantaneous awakening of his fellow students, Abhinavagupta graced them with the Bodhapañcadaśikā; literally, “Fifteen Verses of Enlightenment.” In these fifteen concise verses, he encapsulated the entire system of Śiva. Yet, if the whole tradition could truly be grasped merely by reading fifteen lines, the vast corpus of scriptures would never have come into being.
Such compression demands unfolding. Abhinavagupta intended that the guru expand these verses, revealing their depth in a language and manner accessible to disciples, otherwise the text would remain obscure and largely unintelligible. To bridge this gap, Adi Suyash offers an in-depth exposition of these fifteen verses, guiding sincere seekers toward the direct recognition they point to. Naturally, this recognition flowers most readily in those who are inwardly prepared, allowing the teaching to push them into the ocean of their own blissful consciousness.
P.S. This is the text taught annually by Adi Suyash in the Touch of Trika program.
